Hartley House is perfect for couples looking for a combination of indoor and outdoor event space. The main level is equipped for small or large events, and is ideal for catering display, lounge seating and cocktail hour. On the main level you will also find our Grooms Tavern, Restrooms, Library, and Prep Kitchen. The upstairs is home to our 1,000 sq. ft. Bridal Suite that has all the amenities you need for your big day along with a private restroom. 

Venture outside to our newly renovated reception site offering over 3,200 sq. ft. of hardscaping covered by a 40’x80’ white frame tent. The tent is adorned with warm white market lighting that allows for celebrating and dining al-fresco. Our beautifully manicured landscape is complete with magnolias, live oaks, camellias and seasonal florals. The side lawn is home to our new courtyard fountain and crape myrtles, making it an ideal location for an outdoor ceremony year-round. Located on over three acres, there is ample parking for your guests.

Our Spaces

Take your event inside and experience the history that Hartley House has to offer. The original flooring, fire place mantels, and refined furnishings bring this Greek Revival upcountry farmhouse to life. The 12’ ceilings draw your attention to the exquisite chandeliers throughout. The main level offers an enormous hallway complete with an original 19th century square grand piano table, two open concept Parlors, a Dining Room, a prep kitchen and two restrooms. Full of natural light, mirrors, and lounge furniture throughout, you are sure to experience all of the magic of Hartley House.

The House

Venture outside to our newly renovated reception site. Offering over 3,200 sq. ft. of hardscaping, this area is the perfect size for events up to 200 guests. Our 40'x80' white frame tent is adorned with white market lighting. During off season, you can dine al-fresco under our market lighting or rent a tent in any style/size you desire. Several options are pictured above. Our diamond trellis jasmine wall is the ideal backdrop for your cake table or a fun photo booth! And yes, we can attach your neon sign for that extra layer of flair.

Reception SITE

Our side lawn is our most recent renovation and home to our crape myrtle garden, our courtyard fountain named Winston (He was so cute we just had to name him.), and an enormous oak tree that is over a century old. The side lawn is a popular location for ceremonies and cocktail hour.

Side Lawn

Our spacious 1000 sq. ft Bridal Suite is the perfect place to get ready for the big day. It includes a bridal dressing hall, bedroom, sitting parlor, private restroom, and private balcony (which is perfect for pics!). The bridal dressing hall offers three vanity stations, a dining table for six, and a fully stocked Starbucks coffee cart. The sitting parlor is home to our blue sofa and two oversized gold antique mirrors. These mirrors are THE location for that infamous dress picture or bridal shot. The bridal bedroom is perfect for relaxing or hanging those bridal party dresses from the bed canopy. We like to think our bridal suite is fit for a queen.

Bridal Suite

The Groom's Tavern is located on the main level and offers a cigar room feel with its 12' ceilings, deep cyan walls, leather seating and walnut furnishings. The wooden bar is ideal for sharing pre-ceremony brews. Complete with an oversized mirror, poker table, large television, and mini fridge (stocked with water and soda) this area has all that the groom and his groomsmen could ever need.
